I thought the idea of DRC was good handling while maintaining good ride comfort.
Is SS+ still DRC?
Nice Autocar feature, used car tests like these are at least as interesting as all the new car tests.
What's David Vivian doing in Autocar I wonder? I guess he's freelance but wonder if he's left Evo?
Anyone got a link to the Autocar article?

Like Sims said SS+ is DRC but lowered stiffer springs which may account for the firm ride David Vivian was complaining about. The handling through corners and feeling unsettled I was attributing to the Conti SC3's the car had; they never inspired confidence in me or Dom81 IIRC to push the car in any conditions compared to F1's or Secret Santa's. So the two negative comments he made for me are attributed to two facts that were not considered.neckarsulm wrote:I thought the idea of DRC was good handling while maintaining good ride comfort.

Another contributing factor could be tyre pressures. If the tyre pressures are set on max load (or higher - I always run 0.1 or 0.2 bar hgher than recommended)) settings.P_G wrote:..... So the two negative comments he made for me are attributed to two facts that were not considered.
Front 2.8 instead of 2.6
Rear 2.8 instead of 2.4
