Dear John

Oh how I hate to write....

The forum is not about one upmanship, but comradeship for the common purpose of enjoying our special cars. And most importantly, about exchanging information.

I have learnt from you that should I move to Spain, I am better off buying a Seat out there rather than an RS4. Thank you for that knowledge.

Keep it calm (& a little restrained), and we can all benefit. :)

Yours sincerely,

Sims

Yes its called a premium (and its common practice), look in the back ov the times, for the price of the deposit you can earn a few quid at the back end ! Oh my god, would you like to call the dealer in manchester, or me scan in the order sheet ?

John, as the O/P i hope that wasn't directed at me as nowhere have i said i doubt you or don't believe you.

My ONLY points were the multiple forum identity, why is this needed? but believe me i don't have a problem with it but am curious & secondly the surprise it's possible to be dealing with any Audi dealer anywhere in the world that does not know what a B7 RS4 is.

Now see it from my side, it is a little far fetched that a whole countries Audi network & Spain is a developed country in the EU do not recognise one of their own flagship models & second that they have no idea what DRC is given it was on the C5 RS6, the B7 RS4 & i believe the C6 RS6.

In your situation as i'd be ready to gun people down by now, i'd have made such a stick that i'd be wanting Mr (or Mrs just in case) Audi's balls in a vice for such high levels of incompitence (sp).

Those are my only points & i see no offence indicated in my views or points.

Good luck & i hope you get it all sorted, but i'd be wanting Audi blood by now & although i've had problems with Audi cars & dealers in the past, i've never experienced the levels of stupidity you're indicating you're getting currently.

It wasnt directed at you !!!

The two user names were dealt with, i couldnt remember my password and had no acess to my regesterd email for a day or so........... and you know i cant do more than 10mins without a pst so i had to make another !!! its on the comp at home !

As for Spain well i can tell you that it really is true ! The only guy with the training was at Madrid (where all Rs cars wereoriginally sold) and he had since left the company, there are only 3 official RS4 cars in the country therefore the demand for re training was low so they haven bothered, it turns out the equiptment needed is at madrid but knowone can use it, and with all the conflicting stores flying around i have with Audi Germany backing me asked for Spain NOT to touch the car, Germany are sorting it out, they to cant beleve it and asked spain not to touch the car

Excellent points, and it seems strange that Audi Spain cannot sort this out. Is there a bigger picture none of us have seen yet?

I love conspiracy theories, what could the bigger picture possibly be? John hates Audi, drives an M3, works for BMW? I know that when I took my car down to the Pyrenees it created far more interest than it did here, they are a rare sight in Southern Europe. It's a shame he's coming in for stick, I think he's created a bit of interest on this forum, although his spelling and grammer leave a little to be desired. I am interested to know where you're from though John, are you an ex-Pat?

That's sorted then, get rid of the RS4 and get an M3. :)

Or of course you could always keep the RS4 in the UK, and take your 997 Turbo to Spain - I am sure Porsche in Spain are well equipped.

Imagine the 997 on Spanish roads! You'd end up putting a dent in the roof piece as you bobble up and down! Maybe the RangeRover would be your best bet John? However, best of all would be winning this 'battle' with VDT and getting the RS4 working again. I'm sure once you've got the after market shocks on you'll be away because the rest of the car is bullet proof to a point! Maybe bring it back at some point and let MRC de-coke it out. Hope it works out for you bud.
