Is there not a bulb we can just fit in without cutting wires and putting resistors in etc?? Or am i reading this thread wrong?? lol.

I.m useless at anything electrical but could manage just a bulb swap maybe!!!

Yep, the bulb from PRI racing (see link somewhere above)

Side light ones may be a bit more tricky; typically enough they are not listed in the RS4 manual, instead if they go you are to seek an authorised dealership to replace them. Yeah; right!

There's 3 sections to the headlights - indicators on the outside, then the actual headlight (main & dip controlled by a moving mirror) and on the inside the DRL's & sidelights combined.

The DRL bulb is in the centre of the reflector and the sidelight bulb is above it.

might try the fleabay ones as they are only a couple of quid although I do like the idea of proper LED ones even if they are 50 quid.

did you try them bulbs on your sidelights?? if so what were they like? cheers fella

Been swotting up on this. Thanks to all who have done the hard work.
As soon as I get back from my next trip I will start swapping out the DRL, Side and number plate bulbs. Anybody done the brake lights? I thought that I read a post where it had been tackled before. Tried looking but couldnt find it. Anybody got any links to the brake lights mod?

Cheers

Scaghead, I did order those blue sidelights off ebay but they had not arrived before I went away on business on Thursday. I won't be able to try them until next weekend when I am back but will post an update and will put some pics up if they are any good. They do look pretty low rent even on the ad so my hopes ain't high!

Hi, I fitted the blue sidelight bulbs off ebay this afternoon. I think they are pretty good, giving a similar light to the DRLs from PRI. They are very blue when not switched on but it isn't too noticeable as they are so small. Overall I would recommend them. Changing them is a bit like the DRLs, i.e. the passenger side takes about 30 seconds whilst the driver's is much more fiddly. It is a bit easier that the DRLs as they just push back in rather than needing a twist.

I did take some pics in the day but they did not really do them justice, can try at night but as I have done both it won't show the contrast.

Cheers.

I went the slightly more expensive route

http://www.priracing.com/product.php/13 ... ulb--pair-

Should see what they are like in the next few days when they arrive and I get around the fitting them. The PIAA DRl ones are great so stuck to the tried and tested.
