Brim the tank until there id actually fuel in the nozzle itself, then push the toggle and it should disappear. Pushing the toggle for 10 or seconds should allow another 2-3 litres of fuel in.

When the pump cuts off I press and hold the toggle and then I can always get in an extra 5-7 litres of fuel (not at full speed, you have to be a bit patient) - works at all the garages I visit.

Not sure this is a good idea guys, according to the manual this additional space is need for expansion of the fuel. Presumably on hot sunny days. Not sure filling to the brim is a good idea as last summer, crap as it was, I left a sq can of petrol in the boot of my car came back 5 hrs later and it was more like a round can - the fuel had expanded massively.

If you fill the void ......

That's what I do.

With the rate that an RS4 uses fuel out of the tank I don't think that's much of a problem - especially if you're driving a reasonable distance immediately after filling, once you've gone 15-20 miles you've used the extra gallon that you put in!

Plus the tank is still vented. IMHO the worst that can happen is that some fuel gets vented out instead of just fuel vapour.
