Need some RS4 seats
Re: Need some RS4 seats
I'm sure there are lots of places that do the security laminate, but Pentagon Glass Tech London are one of the original suppliers of this

Good price. I've seen far worse pairs of fronts alone asking more money that that tidy set. Opening poster, get on it!

They are B8 seats.
Re: Need some RS4 seats
Oh yeah, electrical bolsters, not air. Well spotted! So the advert *IS* suspect then, clearly stating they are from a 2007

Re: Need some RS4 seats
I've not owned a B7 or B8 RS4 with buckets, but I have driven one, I seemed to recall the bolster buttons were different, with the B8 having electric side bolster movement instead of air?
The rear bench is different between B7 + B8
Unfortunately this is the problem with buying off ebay / gumtree, you are potentially replacing the buckets you had nicked from your car this week with another set nicked from someone elses car two months back. A very expensive game of musical chairs

If you are looking to install laminate on your windows I can 100% recommend this company in Reading, Pentagon Glass. They do a huge range of vehicles and many for Government and Main Dealer networks. I have their laminate on both my vehicles.
Don't be put off by the slightly lower market sounding website name as they are excellent.
The videos on their website show just how tough the glass is and it is claimed to be unbreakable from the outside, and certainly seems to be on the videos.

Re: Need some RS4 seats
A combination of the window film and a decent alarm should keep your seats safe. My alarm has a dual proximity sensor so if anyone gets close to the car it will give 6 blips to let them know it is not the standard Audi alarm which is quiet and easily disabled. I imagine this is enough to put them off as the alarm will be much louder and keep going the whole time they are trying to remove the seats rather than disabled in a couple of seconds. And even if they are stupid enough to carry on the the film should make it too difficult to break in.

They have a good reputation as I mentioned earlier in this thread
Pentagon *I think* franchised out following their original London site. That website looks Reading specific, which explains the slightly odd web address as you mention, the original London site is still pentagonglass.com + pentagonglasstech.com

Re: Need some RS4 seats
Thanks all again - still negotiating with insurance company. If I buy it back, will contact you via PM for seats and door cards...
Re: Need some RS4 seats
Thank you all again for your offers of parts. I agreed yesterday to have it written off as they significantly upped their payout to a fair value when presented with Autotrader/PH evidence of prices so it wasn't economic to repair it and have a cat D with 100k miles. Still have a pair of front discs suitable for a track day which I will otherwise throw out if no one can use them.
