I would have thought it was a CAT C at least and cant believe someone could put that back on the road with a normal MOT and not a full engineers inspection.

cat c no longer gets a vic check either..
the vic check was simply that-checking identity,it was never about the quality of repair
your car will repair fairly well by someone with a jig/perhaps just a dozer, will sell well too-always someone that is capable of repairing them cheaply

Nice one! Glad you're staying in the B7 forum! An R32 might be fun with the charger, but the B7 is the last of a kind; manual, quattro, V8. We have to enjoy them before they get too ancient!

If you can buy the original B7 back cheap, think you will? Maybe transfer all the good bits, part out a lot of the rest, strip it out, cheap bodywork repair, and then let it serve out the rest of its day on track! Could be fun.

The other half took one look at the R32 and went why would you want a boy racer car and that put an end to that.

One thing I have learnt is that I could not find one car with the same spec as my old girl, close but not everything and the amount of people listing big spec is ridiculous.

Car went off to its new home in Wales today straight from the salvage yard and the new owner sent me daytime pics and all I can say is wow.

She won't be going back on the road, well not has an Audi that's for sure and I get to take some of my key parts as part of the deal.
