Well I took the car in to a Shop for them to look at what will be needed to fit the downpipes and to my surprise this downpipe is a complete decat. Having never looked at the exhaust system in detail I was stupid enough to think it would only remove the piggies not all the CAT'S. ......... duh!!!

So now I have to think if I want to go full decat and put up with the bad egg smell or have them cut and shut and keep the oem 200 cel CAT'S.

Hummmm what to do.

on another note (like said) if your miltek fits stock CAT'S it will fit this.

I thought the bad egg smell came from a failing cat, not a complete de-cat?

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but good main cats cost money. I wouldn't buy pipes if they were much cheaper than that as they would have to have chinese sh!t cats in them that will do more bad than good. You'd be better off staying with your stock downpipes.

The stock mains are good quality 200 CPI so if you could get them welded into the pipes that would do the trick as well as any. Or just gut your precats, keep the old pipes and flog the catless ones. Same result either way.

I had precats replaced with straight pipes (rather than gutted) retaining the 200 CEL main cats, an x-pipe centre section, and the whole system fitted (as it went into the Shop with no exhaust) for £650 all in.

Not the cheapest I'm sure, but ticks the boxes for me.

The car previously had a full decat and it gave me headaches from both the noise and fumes.

Because I don't want to go full decat I have had mine priced up to keep the rear CAT's and weld the down pipes to down pipe and at the same time some x-pipe welded in to the oem system for £530

I've just bought a set. Should get them in a week or so and will get them on shortly after that. 304 stainless like Miltek so should be similar racket. Hoping fitment isn't an issue but the guy says they're a good fit.

Still waiting for delivery, a week late so far but I did get a message yesterday saying they were dispatched.
Was hoping to have them on by now but just as well they haven't turned up as the car's back in the garage with alt belt problems! :(
