On here it says he may not have been chased and could have just lost control maybe at that speed? I appreciate all media is just speculating right now for attention so no one would know for a while but is a possibility.

I think I came across this guy some months ago are Surrey Keys, Black RS4 shot passed me on my way to my mums on the one-way system on route to Jamaica road and he headed towards Rotherhithe. At the time I thought he was just showboating seeing another RS4 in front of him.

Now if the Police are saying there was no evidence of him being chased I suspect it may be correct as the Old Kent road is loaded with camera along there.

Nice mate, I was brought up round there, and yes it has it issues like most places at times but to be honest Rotherhithe is up and coming with some parts having houses/flats costing over £450k going upwards, so not quite the

hole you may think it is.

From the Lewisham roundabout and the regeneration there, through to the regeneration just before Elephant and Castle and the knock down of the flats, I'd say David is riht - it has it's issues, but by the same measure it's having millions spent on the area...

Besides, as said before, I drive the Old kent road often and it's camera's galore. I suspect there's more at play than what's been reported...

I know a chick who bought a flat in Elephant & Castle about 15-18 months ago. It has been a bit of of nightmare (lease & renovations) but its going to be a very profitable purchase I think with all the other redevelopment going on in the area as you mention!

I used to drive down the old Kent Rd most weeks for a couple of years, never had any problems,just wrong place at the wrong time I guess

I used to drive along it was every day so know it well. I wouldn't be surprised if he was driving around like an arse and cut up some guys on mopeds and they chased him down and shot him for it. Not unheard of.
