The tunnels in Birmingham city centre are great for that!

My little girl is two, and the RS4 is "daddy's vroom car" - a call of "daddy, one... Two...three... Vroom" from the back is an order to floor it from a two year old - everyone loves these cars!

Try painting it a bright colour... might get a bit more attention.

Definitely, any opportunity I get. :D

The other day I was pulling out of a side road, just happened to glance over to this chap on the other side of the road that stopped in his tracks and was gawping over, thought I'd oblige and give the throttle a little boot. It's nice when you notice people that realise it's not just an A4 :)

up to last year i was the one stopping or dropping my window if i seen an rs approaching. now i can hear it anytime lol. first run i had this year after a few months sorned i went to my local shell garage which also had a few bikers parked up (i,m a biker also) and they kept glancing over. one chap came over and was really commenting how sweet it looked and sounded. after a quick chat about bikes cars etc i paid for fuel and left. gave the guys the thumbs up as i drove out and out on the short bypass and nailed it. these cars do have a great presence on the road!.

What a great thread  I've got to add my bit too.
I was driving to Val d'isere and stuck in traffic approaching the tunnels at Grenoble when I looked to my right at a fat Belgium bloke with sunglasses smoking a big cigar driving a big fat V8 7 litre Ford something twin cab pickup with family. He looked over, gave it the put the foot down signal. I obliged and gave it a good old blip on S. He smiled and did the same as he had a sports exhaust too and pointed at the upcoming tunnel. As we approached the 3 mile tunnel we were side by side, lay back let the traffic ahead pull away by a far stretch. Fat bloke waived me on 1st, balls to the speed cameras 2nd, then 3rd on sport, screaming its absolute bolx off at 8500 revs with the windows down and wife going red with embarrassment and the kids going, "go on dad"! The fat bloke then booted his fat pickup which sounded fantastic too. The next thing I see was two lads hanging out of a black BMW X6 filming the whole thing on their TV sized Samsung smart phones. This went on for some time through all of the tunnels, what a laugh I nearly pi55ed my pants laughing, one of the best times I've ever had in my RS4 or any other car i've owned.

I travelled down to London today and had a few incidents of this!!

First was about 200m from home. Was sat in traffic with the windows open. A focus st goes past the other way, also in traffic. As it went past I heard him shout 'give it a rev mate'! So I did!! :biggrin3:

Then approaching the M1 from the M6 I see another focus st flying up behind me. He gets about 3mm from my rear bumper and hangs there! I move over, give the standard c@nt gesture, then he wants a race!! Douce!! That's the negative side to owning these cars!!

Also had many admiring looks on the way down! The road presence these cars have is why I love them!! :biggrin3:

Having owned mine for nearly five years,I have had loads of similar things happen to a lot of the posts...people coming and talking to you in a petrol garage, car parks, traffic lights etc...all positive comments..some men/women who have come out of there way to comment really have surprised me as you get a stero typical image of a petrol head and they defo don't fall in that category...the reason for not getting no <beep>,wanker etc..stuff as I have had in other cars I have owned is people look at it as you have bought a car that looks normal you are not trying to act flash .a lot of people will see a porker and immediately think wanker...
One of the funniest ones I had was when I pulled into a shell garage there was a fella filling his m3 when I got out of my motor he said to me FFS that thing sounds the nuts makes my v8 sound like an electric car..
The ones that I really like and make me chuckle are when your driving along in a pedistrion area you see people stop turn (cause they have heard the noise of a super car) look at your car as they think that is where the noise is coming from, look past your motor as if to say well it can't be coming from that...classic..then they finally realise there senses were originally right it was That normal looking family motor....

Great thread kev.. :beerchug:

Don't we all lol...

I got pulled by the police the other day and he said.
"im just pulling you over to see if its your car ETC and well to be honest it also my second favourite car on the planet. So have you had any trouble with people trying to take your car from you.
" No i replied i have owned a few RS s and well i own a dog or two that go mad when ever somebody comes near them at home."
" O what other RS" said mr Police man.
" well i sold it but i had an RS2"
" <beep> son i gotta stop you there guess what my favourite car ever was an RS2"
I did have to laugh but how bad is it when you end up saying well officer i really gotta go now.. LOL..

I had someone do this once - only they were in the passenger seat at the time!! The first time I took them for a spin I purposefully drove under a dual carriageway by their house, windows down, slowed right down, floored it, they looked over their shoulder and said "is that a motorbike" before realising and laughing their head off as I tore off!
