This was the first one I looked at mate... Right on my doorstep... Had a nightmare with a Golf I bought for my son a couple of years ago from Manchester... Knackered engine backwards and forwards to Manchester so it was more important for me to buy off a local dealer so if there is any problems I can be at his unit in literally 2 minutes...

Welcome to the forum fella. Good choice of colour too! Owned mine for over 4 years now and ran her as standard for just over 3 before I started on mods. It still excites me even today. I don't know if you can see from the service history if its ever had a carbon clean but would recommend it. On 70k if it ain't had one you could be down as low as 350hp!

Enjoy!

Just filled her up for a little trip up to Edinburgh with the girlfriend in the morning....She's had £130 in juice since I picked it up yesterday.... But I don't care cos I freakin love it.... Something I've noticed you can be going round a roundabout in 4th gear with really low revs and turn off give it some beans and it just picks up straight away... They really are an amazing car... The more I drive it the more I love it.... PS I don't usually drive round roundabouts in 4th gear before someone mentions it....

There are very few cars with a usable rev range from 1000 to 8000+ rpm :sekret:

Not sure whether I am going to get it done now mate.... Thought the grille and window surrounds were going to be chrome but they are not... There like a brushed aluminium which I quite like.... Think I might just get the black badges and get my rear windows tinted.... Need to get the mani off to see if I need a carbon clean.... My pal who does everything on my S3 says he will do it for £350... Which is quite cheap I think... :rocker:

Fair do's man. Ive never seen the brushed alloy in person. It is a bit of a ball ache when it comes to taking bits off to get them sprayed.

I got mine carbon cleaned for under 100 does your mate work at a dealership? :bigblink:

Go back to work next Tuesday so only have one week off in the next 6.... Give me chance to save some petrol money up... :jump:

I've since been looking through all the paperwork and there is some paperwork from Audi saying the 2 front dampers are leaking... But to be perfectly honest I don't really give a <beep>....lol
I will just get them replaced.... It must be amusing for all the seasoned pros on here read all the stuff the newbies put on about there first experiences in the car...lol
Fon & welcome to the forum.

DRC - misting is acceptable - leaking is not.
If you've just collected the car, you should have a minimum 3- months warranty from the dealer?
The car is pretty much undriveable with a leaking shock absorber.
Leaving it too long can lead to a Kayaba accumulator valve being needed & they aren't cheap.
I think i'd take it to Unit 20 who know these cars inside out?
