with stock gearing and tires it would be turning ~8400 rpm, maybe more with tire slip at that speed

I picked my car up on Saturday from Amd! They had it for a week. I have a de coke, gut the per cats and a remap!
Don't get me wrong they done a fantastic job! But the communication was not there! I didn't have one call, not even a call to say the car was ready! I rang in the week as I wanted to no what bhp it was running before any work was done, they said not sure off the top of my head about 370bhp! I rang on the Friday to see if my car was ready, yes it was ready but I still did not know what bhp it was running after I kept asking! When I picked the car up they still did not have a Deno print out for me! I have been emailing them this week they keep saying they are going to send it over and I am still waiting!

I asked them before they remapped it will they remove the speed limiter they said yes, all our maps remove the speed limiter! As I found out the speed limiter is still on there! Of course I found out when i hit the auto ban!
But to be fair they are saying they are going to send someone to upload another file to remove the limiter! But when is the question as not getting replays to emails![/

Firstly, sorry if you feel you have not received a very good service due to a communication breakdown, I am not sure why you didn't receive a call to say it was complete, this certainly isn't the norm but it was already arranged that you were coming back to collect your car on the Saturday?

Just to clarify, you have had 7 email replies sent to you this week. There may have been a delay in replying but please understand we can have anything up to 60 emails a day to reply to plus dealing with phone enquires and customers that are here with their cars. We do aim to reply to them as quickly as we can. I couldn't email you until mid afternoon Monday as I had been off for three days and had a huge back log of emails.

With reference to the speed limiter, yes this should have been done but as arranged Shaun is making the 2.5 hour drive over to you on Sunday to save you having to come back here. He will also bring your graph with him. Or if you would prefer, you can come to us we will do it here and cover your fuel costs? We will even dyno the car again, so you can see it on there.

195 on your speedo? You just have an absolutely massive private road because even when I was 600 odd hp it took a while to get there

You won't hit 180 at vmax, ill guess around 168/170. Unlimited car given enough space will hit 193 and then stop dead

no way will a b7 RS4 hit an honest 193
8000 is 184 (actually measured, GPS, 1k rpm = 23 mph) maybe less with slip at that speed
power peak is ~7600 so I'm estimating best is 175 max, hence the 174 limit on the B8, won't go much faster

Yep, my RS 5 Wouldn't do any more than 170

I dunno, not used to cars this fast. Off road of course, clock was reading over 165 and still pulling pretty hard. I must find out for sure sometime. But first, fix gearbox

not to be a kill joy but you are aware the boys in blue will royally bend you over the speed limiter if you are caught doing 165 mph gps or not
