Mine is also fecked but I don't have the spring either. Is this something that's needed and if so can it be bought from Audi as a separate item?

IIRC the same chap that supplies the clips, can also do a version with the spring. (but I could be wrong)

That's correct, I got the version with the spring, from memory it was only a few pence more.

Yeah I've searched the lower door trim repair and that's in hand now :thumbs:

The lower door trim is currently g clamped sat on to of the radiator in the garage and I'm resisting the urge to fiddle with it :roll:
In fact it's on and as straight as an arrow !! :bowdown:

Really useful, mines gone. How do you tell if it had a spring or not? or did they all have springs?

They all have springs, Terry. Look at page one of this post at the spring picture. If you don't have the spring still (easily lost) follow the link to buy a clip with an oval spring integrated. :beerchug:
