I accept that as your position, and do agree with you about the rings.

You really ought to read posts properly before hurling abuse and accusations, mostly attempting to defend some cause in a misguided belief.
what's the 'misguided' belief?
deposits cost power or they don't?

so you are 'right', and those who disagree are 'wrong'?
thta's all he said, injected with some humor...lighten up

according to 'experts' UK oil is better...
if you are being serious, does the type of oil used affect consumption and carbon build-up?

yes, being serious
I don't think there is any difference...

btw: another US member cleaned his valves
3k-8k runs...8.6
adjusted for temp 8.4 or so
exactly the same as uncleaned cars
and no different than pre-cleaning...he made runs

How come I'm only allowed a yes or no answer yet you can ramble on for several paragraphs?

That's not debate - that's censorship.

It's your opinion that it's misguided, but not everyone shares your opinion.

Facts and science, neither of which you appear to understand, give the answer to the question - and I repeat my opinion that this debate has become pointless, since IMHO the answers have already been posted - for anyone with the openness of mind and intelligence to read and understand.

I was making it easy for you to provide an answer, and yet again you did not.

My suggestion did not preclude you from a debate & discussion. However, do please try to provide an executive summary as to whether or not you believe that carbon build up causes less than 2% impact on power & consumption and that there is no long term effect.

My question on carbon was a 2 lines in one paragraph. The rest of the "ramble" as you called dealt point by point with some other issues you had raised and opn which I disagreed with the data.

If at all there is "censorship", it is the ganging up, by a small number of old establlished members, on people who do raise this legitimate issue.

And what pray tell am I misguided about? This will amuse me for the rest of the evening unlike the majority of your contribution in this thread and other carbon related or 'Audi should fix everything that sounds like it might be wrong on our cars' threads.

You can be as derogatory as you want, but this debate is far from pointless. If it is for you, why do you continue to post on each of these threads? Why are you thwarting the debate on this subject?

And do tell what happened to the facts and science on the DRC issue?

whenever an email is sent to an external address from any half decent company (i.e. Audi), at the bottom of the email it will state the email is confidential, so why goad someone to publish something confidential on a public forum
