Just a little something to wet the appetite. Never realized my exhaust sounded so good outside the car. Went out for a bit to blow out the cobwebs today so took the GoPro and this is a little clip from it...

One of the best Video's i've seen. Where was the GoPro positioned? Have really enjoyed your posts on this thread. Will be a shame to see you go.

I may be staying lol like i said i don't really want to see her go i just want to try new things and i have had no serious interest in the sense of someone actually coming to look at the car and I'm not letting it go for silly money :beerchug:

The GoPro was on inside of the rear window with the suction cup slightly over to the passenger side it was hit and miss as i have no idea prior to recording of what it actually is capturing! I must treat myself to a Hero3. It was used with a 3m external mic which isn't the best quality hence the interference but it did the job and i had it just poking out the middle of the boot lid about 10mm and happy of how it has come out

Been a while since an update and as you may of gathered i have been in and out of love with the RS. Mainly down to weather i would say but also with wanting to try out a RS6 before i decide to go into property.

Well its due its second service well in my possession so i thought i would give it some love and what better day than today. I have fallen back in love with it since Christmas i have to say.... Maybe because the lighter nights are coming back meaning spring is around the corner?

Well i had mostly done all the advisory's from the last service and the only thing outstanding was the horns. So i got new ones purchased and also some new wipers as the frost has gotten the best of mine and set about fitting them today. Having the bumper off allowed me to take some pics of the Oil cooler also

New horns...

Ordered 10l of Castrol Edge to go with it and going to book it in this week all being well as i have another fault after a mate dropped by in his Gallardo when i was washing my car. I finished up and as it was nice we went out for a play...

Image

Was awesome and im surprised the RS didn't leave his tail. Especially with the extra horses they have and only being RWD.

Anyway car called for some juice so i obliged as today was a day of treats for her as you do :bigblink: (Washed, Service bits aaaaand fuel)

Image

Happy days.... Well almost! I jumped back in the car and pressed the start button and a quick turn of the engine and nothing. So press it again and it engages again and nothing. Odd? So i hold the button in and this time it starts the engine to be greeted with Engine management light and Traction lights :audibash: damn thing. Anyway i drive it home and it drives faultless apart from the lights. Plug my reader in and there are no codes so i need vagcom. I did a light reset which turned out both lights and then the engine started with 1 press of the button but shortly died again. So tried again and it died again. Tried 3rd time and held the revs up and this time it was ok but traction light came up but no codes.

Image

Very odd? I was thinking MAF again but its different symptoms this time. My code reader picked up the MAF last time and it didnt effect the start button so im confused what it may be at the moment.

Anyways thats to be continued until i get my hands on a mates vagcom.

Onto the oil cooler. What a work of art!! Im well happy of the work Forge have done! This is the first time i have seen it with my own eyes with the bumper off. A noise has appeared since having it fitted which has been the only niggle but i didnt think it was the cooler as it sounded like a idler pulley. That was until a recent thread on here with a couple with the same problem. The car was set to go back to forge this week to find the problem but well the bumper was off i set to work to find it myself. It didn't take long as with my suspicion there was part of the cooler attached with solid fixing to the body without any dampening. I have reported this to forge to be the problem. I took the blocks out and replaced them with a home made measure to see if it made a difference and the problem has been solved and the noise has gone. So as first thought the vibration was being transmitted through the bracketry to the crash bar which made it much more obvious in the nice quiet cabin. Hoping forge will come up with a solution now to replace the blocks with solid mountings.

Here are some pictures of the offenders.....

where they fix to....

And some pictures of the kit. Bare in mind that mine being the prototype differs slightly cosmetically to the finished product. Everything now supplied is black i believe and screw lengths will be much better suited.

Good effort keeping up with the Lambo!

Very rare in two wheel drive Spyder form.

I know he said RWD, but that's not a Balboni. Unless it's had a custom conversion of some sort, that's an AWD Lambo... maybe that's why it was easier to keep up with.

Your right, its not! It is a 550-2 Spyder if it is rear wheel drive as stated.

Lambo introduced the 550-2 in both tin top and Spyder form after the Balboni special edition as the entry level car in the range.
