I am sure it will keep up quite well. I think they are very similar but the porker feels faster because it is a turbo car - torque is the key factor, since you feel the torque not the power.t_urbo wrote:The figures you quote are from a mag test, the figures i quote are an average of dragstrip runs by owners.Casper wrote:Et for rs4 inthis test is 111,5mpht_urbo wrote:As a comparison,on Dragtimes.net
The Average 1/4 mle speed for a RS4 is 105 mph
The average 1/4mile speed for a std tt is 118.5 mph.
I'd say that was a big difference.

Scroll down where the acceleration figures are. Anything around 110mph is a good time for such a heavy car.
I dont doubt the RS4 can achieve this but the original arguement was regarding how well the RS4 will keep up with a 996 tt.
New RS4 - is it 414BHP or not!
Is this not done yet??t_urbo wrote:The figures you quote are from a mag test, the figures i quote are an average of dragstrip runs by owners.Casper wrote:Et for rs4 inthis test is 111,5mpht_urbo wrote:As a comparison,on Dragtimes.net

Proof is proof & yet again, i don't for a moment think the RS4 is generally faster than a 996TT in a straight line & defo not on track, however it won't be trounced in a drag race & depending on launch, can keep up to the ton+ mark. On a different day with different drivers, perhaps the opposite would have happened, but not by my experience. A 997 Turbo is a deifferent kettle of fish & i'd not even bother.
