Was it the oil slowly dripping on the road or the con rod hanging out like a saggy tit, or the knocking sound, or a scored liner :biggrin3:
As you can see from my previous posts I'm struggling to contain my excitement......

Look Martin I hope you get it all sorted under warranty and I'm sure you will, at the end of the day it doesn't matter how tec and in-depth people's ideas are on what has happened to make it fail,it's in the hands of the assessor and I'm sure it will all work out in your favour

Ill be fighting this if they don't cover me under the circumstances. Having a car 3/4 months with a fash, 60k miles which isn't high, isn't great advertising for a engine to go pop.
It's been good to hear people's own advice/theories as to why they think the engine went but ultimately, as you said, the independent assessor will have his own views having looked at the vehicle components first hand.
I'm sure ill be covered just isn't great having potentially a 16k new engine cost hanging over my head.

This is like a soap opera. I just can't get enough updates!!

I noticed the unmarked crank journal wasn't marked but the clever guys on here commented before my computer was ready to enable a comment :biggrin3:

I really hope you get a good result out of this. Deep down, i don't think it can't go any other way but in your favour.

Best of luck mate.
