Various, but mainly it's a partial desaturation and increase in contrast and increase in micro contrast and changes to highlight, mid tone and shadows contrasts separately. I use Nikon Capture NX for editing and I have a set of plug-in filters for it so it's a question of picking combinations of these and adjusting sliders to get the desired effect.

I think the main 2 filters I used were called Bleach bypass and Tonal Contrast and sometime Contrast colour range, all from a package Color Efex Pro 3 by Nik Software. I believe they do the same plug-ins for photoshop, as well as a brilliant black and white conversion plug in.

It's also a treatment that can work well on portraits/people photography too as it gives a different look that isn't too unreal and somehow looks right.

Regards

Martin
Lost me mate but look great.

Unless it was measured on the same dyno you can't compare the numbers...

I have only ever Dyno'd her on Paramounts rolling road but can tell you the following runs at various points of the work i've had done.

Standard car ran 378.6
with Non Res Valved Miltek 373.5
with Milltek and remap 395.7
adding the K&N she ran a 398.2
fitting the decat pipes she ran 386.4 after a fresh custom map 413.2
took off the Milltek and put the standard system back on she ran 394.4
Modified the standard system but gutting the centre and had another custom map she ran 417.4

that's the info I have to date, as you can see any little change to this car in how it take air in or chucks it out has a massive difference in it's performance......

Jim
Current car..... hmmmmm????

Bit of an update, the issue with my B5 is finally resolved.

After booking the car in locally, it was found that the end of the breather hose had split completely and suspected was sucking in massive amounts of air behind the driver's side intercooler.

Only problem, a two week lead time for the part from Audi, which was delivered on Friday and finally fitted yesterday - a whole half hour's labour.

Since the RR day - I have used some Wynn's Direct Injection Power 3 cleaner, changed the oil (had been 5K since the last change), gave it a tank of BP 102 and taken it for a damn good thrashing - the car is now feeling a lot stronger at the top end. Not sure what bit of the above made the difference, but you can feel the difference now. :)

re Gains - probably done by a computer program rather than manually? Unless the posts are removed he done his job though. Getting links back to his web sites will help his rankings.
