So the last couple of weeks consisted of fitting a new track rod end before my MOT there for needing 4 wheel alignment

Image

well impressed with the hunter system!

Finally fixed my HID ballast problem and warning light after 3 ballasts and a member on here (Silverfox42) sent me one he had spare to try without deposit! So nice to know we still have trusting people in the world even though people are sent to test us! Much appreciated buddy!

Booking in for MOT this week which will be fine now and then this time next week i will be over the pond passing though Paris i should imagine!

Image

Sticker pack arrived for my car.

And also fitted a new steering wheel badge as mine was shocking

Image

Yesterday i stuck on the GoPro to test out the new external Mic that i had in the cabin! Here is the video! It has some interference that i need to sort as it didnt pick this up when its off the car

you could do with sticking the mic on your back bumper somewhere between your exhausts, that would sound epic!!!. :thumb:

Sure I will once I'm on my way I will be less stressed! But at the moment I'm so nervous! Couldn't think of a much better car for the money to do the trip in if I'm honest in comfort and have the power when I need it!

I'm thinking of putting the mic in the engine bay along with the air box! I don't think it will quite reach the rear bumper without repositioning the camera but I will have a play with places to mount it!

Just put the stickers on but broke them up a bit as it looked to out of place just all stuck together

well not much to update since my trip in all honesty i have just been cleaning and enjoying the car! Had to purchase a new MAF sensor after it gave up during my trip but the car still performed 1500miles faultless with the problem which i still cant believe it was the MAF as the car dint miss a beat to get me home.

these are a couple of pictures taken from when i was on the road trip

and a couple from the Dub Fiction show i attended a couple of weeks back

Image
Gave the car a good clean and a fresh coat of Dodo Juice Supernatural Hybrid

Image
And purchases pressed plates to give the car more German subtle styling complete with there tax and region stickers to make them more authentic

Car goes away tomorrow it is going to Forge Motorsport for development of a alternative Oil Cooler kit and hopefully a much better made and cheaper alternative to Audis expensive attempt at a corroding cock up. I will update the thread with pics and info and will make a thread to gather comments/interest and criticism for the product but hopefully with forge making the investment it will be a better item to consider in the future.

Car is looking fantastic, Ben. Maybe a bit random, but where did you get the wheel badge from? I need one to replace the S-Line badge from my new wheel, and might get one to stick on the old one for the next owner too.

thankyou Sonny! after seeing the pic of yours just before you sold it i have decided to have the side optics done black aswell. Awaiting a quote on front and rear bumper resprays a couple of stone chips getting lost another wheel refurb and a colour change on the calipers for over the winter along with a new windscreen new lenses for headlights and a good detail it should be looking as good as it left the assembly line if not better

Nice one mate, are you going for the proper OEM black optics or the cheapo spray/wrap option?
