what wattage are the PIAA?

oem is 21, I replaced with white/blue 27W aftermarket
I don't use mine too often, but I've heard the higher wattage will damage the sockets
but their is a Vagcom adjustment for the intensity, factory is 90% I've been told, if you set it to
0.9 x 21 ~ 19W
19/27 ~ 70% it will be similar power/heat as oem

I've got the PIAA bulbs (and have my DRLs on all the time) and not had any melting problems.

No melting with mine. However if you change the sidelight bulbs you will get melting. I had to get MRC to drill one bulb out! Previous owner dropped in whiter bulbs.

Hi Guy,

i am a site Sponsor, i am on the Audi sport.net website and been trading on there for a year now with great reviwes.

i have designed bulbs for Audi's and have got kits for interiors.

i am working on a Error free LED kit for the RS4, i have had a poke around under the hood a few months ago failing but i will give it a go again as i have had differant items in, i will report towards the end of the week to see if i can find a fix. i will be trading at AITP also.

Thanks

Anorak question - if you'll be at AITP that suggests you might be based in the UK, so why do you say "under the hood" which is an Americanism?

Could be interested in some B8 style LED Avant rear lights if you can guarantee they will be error free and ALL the bulbs are LEDs (I rejected the Dectane ones as the reversing lights are still bulbs).
