Cheers for that nij,

Very well described, hopefully will give it a go at the weekend, prob do the passenger seat first! I expect I can power the solenoid up with my power probe. And hopefully see where the leak is coming from! Did you disconnect the batt when you did yours? Only I'm not sure if I have my radio code!?

Tim, I don't think you need to take the side panels off. What program do you have for those diagrams?

James, I used to have comfort seat in my car, bought some Recaro sportster CS seats from a forum member. Had to disconnect the battery because the comfort seats has airbags, once the seats were taken out, resisters are wired into the airbag socket under the seat. You don't need the radio code, once paired, the car members it. After reconnecting the battery, all the electical equipments will work as normal (after a little while to reset itself).

I got my bucket seats from another member who wanted comfort seats, so they have never been fitted to my car. I was told the bolsters leaks, but never had time to have a look till now. Got a little interior mod in mind, so I need the leaks sorted before some retrim.

Program is elsawin - Audi service manual.

The special tool is just a plastic lever so it doesn't scratch or damage the plastic.

I'd be interested in a fix too that doesn't involve silly money on new parts.

An update, no leaks. :jump_clap:

I've inflated all the air bags yesterday to the max (until the pressure valve shut off the pump), then this morning I tried inflating each one and the pressure valve almost straight away shut off the pump.

I don’t think there is a cheap fix to this problem. I did take the valve apart and had a proper look. There are actually 4 solenoid valves inside and not much DIY repair can be done. I do agree, it’s silly money for the parts and the cheapest I paid so far is £144.01 from Trade Parts Specialist, but I now know why Audi charge so much to repair these leaks. The parts are not easily accessible (bad design by Recaro) and because of it, Audi would replace all components (pump, pressure valve, 2x solenoid valves, air bags and numerous pipes) just in case.

I bought a copy of the Elsawin Audi service manual from eBay, I’ve installed the program but I couldn’t install the data because there was a missing file. The seller sent a replacement, but same problem. Does anybody here know where else I could buy a copy?

Well done again nij.

Out of interest... what part number did you have for the solenoid valves?

Also, which "file is missing" from Elsawin ?

The part number is: 8E0 959 267

When I tried to install the data file, it's stops and ask for to the location of the file 'hs2.a.de-de.cab', which I could not find anywhere on the disc.
