I would contribute but haven't had any faults as such, yet!
I think positive experiences need to be highlighted too, so that people know where they CAN go for good service.
Plus you've obviously had an experience of some sort at Birmingham Audi........

(A) RS4 B7 Avant 07 high 30's
(B) Wimbledon Audi London
(C) Faulting TPMS, seat leather unclipped and washer bottle fault, touch up front end respray quote
(D) 1 day
(E) Seat leather reattached, new washer bottle and TPMS issue solved quote received for front end. Uncertain why but they put a new set of tyres on for free, I suspect they damaged one sorting the TPMS or a joy ride damaged one. Nevertheless a new set of P-Zeros was the result for free so I cant complain.
(F) 8 would be a 9 but see below
(G) TPMS worked for two weeks now now faulting again. Of concern was the quote for the respray of the front end. Not for the fact that it was high but that I was actively encouraged to claim on my insurance with basic hints that I should 'key' the front end or direct 'just nudge a post'. While some may agree with this because of what we pay in insurance, I was disgusted by the attitude as it is this sort of thing which means we pay through the nose for insurance in the first place. It was mentioned in latter corrospondence aswell which left me dismayed. I have considered contacting Audi UK about this but I am as yet unsure if it would be worth it.
(H) Yes absolutely for mechanical work but not for any 'insurance' work

This thread will become really bloated if we all comment on each others good/bad situations, but for me there is no debate about calling Audi UK if a dealer behaves negligently. I always call.
Audi UK have a right to know what their dealers are up to, and if the dealer has been negligent in the eyes of Audi UK then it can result in better service for all, as well as situations resolved and perhaps work carried out for free for the individual.
The notion of an Audi dealer actively suggesting you should key your own car then claim on insurance is outrageous. Ok, coming from some back-street guy who you'd probably ignore anyway, but not from people who work for a premium German brand. Unbelievable.

RSKiwi: what they did it's called scam - you should report them to Audi UK (especially if you have evidence like an email)

they will then take appropriate measures

With this in mind, and given my experiences today (which I'll be writing about in detail tomorrow) I think the list here should maybe include whether the dealer visited claims to have RS specialists in-house or not.

(A) Car: B7 RS4 Avant; 07 plates aprox 34k miles
(B) Dealer: Newcastle Audi, Scotswood Road, Newcastle upon Tyne
(C) Coil pack failure (single one). Symptoms: possible rare misfires in the morning, power seemingly down during a 30 mile drive, then engine light and limp mode driving on Scotswood Rd (coincidentially), so rolled onto forecourt. Not my usual dealer (Tyneside Audi) but same group. No appointment.
(D) 4.30pm until 10am next morning
(E) Horrible arrogant man at service desk who tried to belittle me. Actually lied to my face (or was seriously clueless, but I can see bullshitters a mile off...) when coil packs suggested. Only saving grace was the extremely nice tech who had a quick look before I left, saw my concern and took ownership of the problem by telling me he would see to it that the car was fixed as soon as possible. No transport/lift home offered (5+ miles). Service desk man suggested I drive the car out of the forecourt, park it on the side of the road, then call in so it would be Audi Breakdown's problem and they would be obligated to give me a courtesy car!! Like I said, horrible man. Walked, got a taxi then the metro home. Would score 1/10 if I wasn't able to speak to the technician or the problem hadn't been solved and fixed so quickly.
(F) 4 out of 10
(G) issue(s) fully solved? Y
(H) would you recommend/return? N

Apologies for adding my 2p's worth.
Because the number of Audi dealers that understand the RS models is a tiny subset of Audi dealers...
There very few Audi dealers that understand Audi cars let alone ones specific to the RS4, in my experience of dealers in the south west, they're all <beep> with a few variations on the same theme. The bigger and flashier the dealership, the higher the labour rate and the more <beep> produced.

It would be more effective to highlight the positive experiences relating to RS/S ownership, if its not BS from the service admin 'that's not a fault it's a characteristic' it is unecessary repairs recommended by the technicians because they are on a bonus scheme or necessary repairs that are not completed properly.

Example booked a service Saturday morning, arrived 5 minutes early so had to sit on the door step until they opened as not allowed in, you get better service in McDonalds.

No need to apologise, this is why this thread exists.
Which dealer made you wait outside on the doorstep?

Can we get this thread made Sticky?
Should be a very valuable resource given some time, for good and bad experiences.
