I carbon wrapped the factory RS4 lip on mine and it looks pretty good...

Tricky to get a good pic, but this gives you an idea.

It's not vinyl, it's a layer of genuine carbon fibre mat, with several layers of resin applied, then flatted and polished. First ever attempt at CF so not 100% brilliant.

The joke is that it's about twice the weight of the original plastic one.

If i did it again, i know i would get an better finish.

On the to do list is making one from ali sheet and laminating that really neatly.

Looked at vinyl, but it looks stick on.

Mine, despite the vast effort to outcome ratio (!) looks like the native carbon fibre that it is - it's got depth from the coats of resin, the right lustre from the CF weave etc.
