But it has the V8 engine in it, only thing missing out of the engine bay is the rubber strip that goes on the scuttle panel.

If it has the V8 4.2 FSI engine in it then surely it will need all the other components. Makes me wonder why these cars never make a appearance on here or other Audi forums.

LOL yea I hear you. There are plenty of reps/conversions on eBay, but you can tell they are. The RS4 in that link is a RS4 with out a shadow of a shadow of a doubt.

That is an RS4, and there is another one next to it in one of the pictures R554 CAB.

Dont the RS4's have millions of 'datadots' or something all over them so police you can tell if they are stolen? Says something about it in this review: http://www.mynrma.com.au/cps/rde/xchg/m ... review.htm

I know where two chassis number stickers are that I doubt thieves would have got to.
Low feedback and mobiles only
Anyone want to go take a look?

Im sure registering a car as a 3.0l when it is a 4.2l is a crime in itself, especially when it is to 'get cheaper insurance'!!!

The vehicle is actually insured and and comes back as "Vehicle Make/Model: AUDI A4" on the Motor Insurance Database.

So would be the same if you did a HPI.

All that proves is someone wrote off their A4 3.0 and got a stolen Rs4 to clone on to. the RS was probably Misano in a previous life.

I think anyone who goes to have a look at this car will have that in mind, so they would be extra vigilant when looking....you would hope...

Also if you VAG COM it, (unless it's on bespoke management like Motec) it will definitely, DEFINITELY have an ECU from an RS4 with a readable VIN from the donor car, a piece of cake to then trace the car from there for the police.
Don't forget RS4 VINs start WUA, non RS cars start WAU
