This is the cheap ebay one, but I think it is saying you need to already have a tv tuner for it to work (I'm not sure if that is their way of saying you need vcds to activate if you don't already have a tv tuner.)

You need VCDS to enable the Aux-In option as it wasn't originally an option

Good write up here - http://audiretrofit.quinlivan.net/

Totally agree with the armrest, feeling (for once) quite happy that I haven't got the allegro bottom steering wheel, the passenger kneecapper or the pie squasher seats.
I have to say my biggest niggle is German noise restrictions, I love the valved exhaust but I want noise on or off, not off or on above this speed or that gear. Should have been different for our market.

totally agree, I can't see why this speed variation can't be mapped out (BTW I think it's EU noise restrictions).

Agree about the postcode thing. Miss the volume adjustment on the steering wheel as well.

My Bad! I just presumed it was the Germans. My brother lives in Germany and their laws are so restrictive. He has to put about 6 bins out on 'recycle day' and you can't park on the wrong side of the road! You can go 200mph on the autobahn though,,,,,swings and roundabouts.

Thanks for the link, I am now confident the cheap ebay lead will work. I think I will do this mod to tide me over until I work out what I'm doing with a2dp, I will run the cabling into my arm rest.

Would happily put 6 bins out if it meant I could drive at 200 mph!

Sometimes the bluetooth will lose connection and I hate the big bong when it's lost or regained connection.
No option to disable this either.

I wish you had more options in the DIS Menu, Also the full post code ability as mentioned above would be great. Wish the songs titles would show when the ipod is fitted.
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar
