this post is very topical for me as I've just had a new auxillary rad fitted and think my bumper gap is bigger than it was before. I thought it was maybe me being over precious, like I am with this car! I believe they have to have the bumper off to replace the aux rad.

Is it easy to adjust myself or do I need to take it back to the dealer? (only problem is that dealer is not close by who did the work)

depends if its been put on wrong, if it has you'll never adjust it right unless it comes off.
I can't see myself how it can go back on wrong unless it's been mounted incorrectly on the bumper bar/iron which then wont adjust, anyone else?

I did mine a few days after I picked her up:

Bumper off job to get it spot on. You need to wind out the large black screw type supports to lift the bumper up.

There is a go "how to" link somewhere. I'll try and dig it out.

It would be fantastic if you can dig out the "how to" link - I can then do it myself and take my time to get it right (with the help of my engineer dad who is more technically minded!!)

aha finally found the bookmark, must organise them a bit better!

This was the link I used which showed how to take the bumper off. It's the location of the screws that's tricky. Once you've undone all those it should slide off easily.

This picture shows how the bumper is adjusted. Screw or unscrew to lower or raise the mounting point for the bumper. You might need a few tries to get it spot on.

This is great, thanks.

How long did it take you to do and do you have to lossen the headlights to do it?

headlights stay fixed, they can only go on in one position.
IIRC you can just wind up the adjusters assuming the bumper has been slotted onto them correctly.

How does that work then? Because the sides of my bumper match exactly with the wings and headlights but I have a slight gap betwen grille and bonnet. Not the same size as Steve's but it is there. So is there adjusters at the sides and then central ones too?
