Thanks for the input all. The Continental Wintercontact TS 790V size 275 /30 R19 96 V XL on the mytyres.co.uk (see link ) seem a good price ? The V rating up to 149mph is plenty enough !

Just got my Vredestein Wintracs from Tyremen.

Mytyres were a complete nightmare to deal with, Tyremen have been no problem at all.

Thanks to whoever suggested them on here.

If snow is likely to become more prevalent in future times I may consider winter tyres, however after this year's deluge my Ultrac Sessantas performed admirably in the snow due to tread pattern design so I'll stick to them for the time being.

In Europe they are so much better equiped for running winter tyres, there are just no facilities unless you have a decent sized garage at home to store 4 winter wheels with tyres whereas dealers in Germany for example will do this for you.
