Is mileage a problem with engines - pretty bullet proof me thinks?
Obviously high milers will have their issue on other areas.
I think I am one of the highest mileage cars on the forum at 68k miles and bar DRC replacement on the front, squeaky exhaust valves and wangling a warranty replacement for them and an intermittent inlet manifold potentiometer fault which appears now to have cured itself (touch wood) my car has been bombproof. I have had to spend nothing on the car bar brakes, tyres + allignment (car only on its 4th set now with 3.5mm left all round and the allignment people are reasonably priced I suppose  ) and servicing.

The brakes issues I have had I think I have now resolved. Not bad on a high performance car.
That's very encouraging, and with the £750 warranty available from WD, removes concerns in owning this top of the range Audi.

Another nice one, but without buckets/FBSW. And low mileage.

Most buyers seem to want FBSW/buckets so I wouldn't buy one without - got to think of the resale in the future.

Although I do know a 20 stone chap with buckets and he can't fit in them so there is a market for non bucket seats!

My Avant doesn't have the privacy glass & I prefer it is Avus Silver, the SS looks good & car seems well cared for it is very hard not to wear the bolsters my car has similar mileage & even though am very careful they are still marked. Boot mat & indoor cover suggest a caring owner, Milltek is a bonus too !

I think there is a market, regardless of weight. I do have the buckets in my car, but would have been just as happy without for the sports seats are excellent.

Resale? You have a point , but if the bolsters are badly worn as is mentioned frequently on this forum.....

Sims
ss suspension and std set up both run DRC?

I test drove an avant with the recaros and they were mighty impressive but planning a fair bit of track work so buckets are essential as well as flat wheel.

spotted a nice silver avaant on PH in aberdeen - good money too....

Hippo has knocked a fair bit off their model so planning another trip down to have a test drive and a closer look.
anything else to look out for?
where would the spec of the car be listed as original order is no longer there.

All the option codes should be listed in the inside cover of the service book but you will need an options decoder to work out what they are (google has one). The cars are pretty well specced anyway, key options are -

SatNav - will have a "shark fin" antenna if original, auto lights (look on the switch for auto position) , DRL/Coming home lights - by the lightswitch. Bluetooth is a mixed bag as is very good but you lose the FBSW but a very useful retrofit (Audi version is completely integrated with satnav, carries phonebook etc. over on most phones) although with retrofits you won't have voice dialing (few exceptions). CDC & cooler in glovebox were options as was automatic re-circulation of the air (look for an A on the a/c re-circ button). Auto wipers were std I believe but auto dimming mirror was an option (can see if have as button/light on bottom of mirror). At some point the lights/mirror & satnav were bundled together as a "tech pack" so often get all or none) My car also has a glass sunroof which I am really enjoying as lets light into the black interior there was also a "solar roof" which refreshed the air in the car when parked, have never seen one but considered a "good" option by those who have them ! Was a TV option but is analogue & only works when stationary (can be by-passed) so didn't seem much use to me.

Interior trims vary, silver, carbon fibre, piano-black or wood all down to personal taste although on a grey/black optics car imagine will be CF.

Yes it is, SS+ IIRC is shorter springs and a couple of other suspension altered bits and pieces

Any more Nick Griffin jibes however and you won't be getting any more help....
