I know when I contacted Hull Audi about Campaign 17D7 Service recall, they knew about it and booked me in to have the item in question checked/replaced.

I've just booked it in for a service at Hull Audi, reading this thread makes me think about taking it to another Audi dealer.

Several call to the dealership on friday proved even more fustrating,Dale Goddard the service manager wasnt aware of anything and couldnt find my cars details on there system even though its been in twice to them,I called customer services after getting the "im being proffesionally given the run around" feeling, one phone call to customer services got my chassis no (very strange eh) called the service manager back with the guys name and extention number so he could get the details he required, apparently its chassis number specific now! He admitted there was a campaign but i should of brought the car in and now i had done it myself audi customer services would not help,After explaining i made 3 calls and none of which were returned what else would of done with such non existant service, ask for a manager was his answer! The last time my car was in 4 calls were not returned and i ended up with the dealer principle,Do you really have to go that far to get a phone call returned or get to speak to someone?? Really had enough could go on and on but cant be bothered just learn from it and go elswere

sorry to hear fo your experience. I have always felt that Audi Customer Services should have a dedicated service desk for the R/RS cars. That would also help with dealerships being more alert to the needs of R/RS owners.

We are worth it

Same problem with Audi Slough. Can't return calls. I'm going to try Reading from now on.

Camberley Audi have a great reputation, and know RS4's well. And not that far from Slough/Reading.

I think that might be worth driving a bit further if they are better. Thanks

I stopped on this occasion at the point of my numerous calls not being returned, as the last time when they actually had my car with them several calls throughout a day and a half were not returned, the final straw came when i suggested there was no point leaving my name and number as everyone already has been given it from numerous other calls,i was assured I HADNT RANG at which point dealer principle was required, this oil cooler enquiry was heading the same way and ive no wish to go through the same experience again,They will retain the bussiness of cars under warranty and up to 3 years old as people feel rightly or wrongly it needs to go in the main dealer, after that im very sure things will be different, service needs to be first class @ £120 an hour for a mechanic and it would seem the "front of house" side of things is severley lacking.I would prefer an audi stamp for its next service so will look at other relatively nearby dealerships as spending an hour driving an awesome car is far more pleasurable than ringing and ringing and leaving your number and having to use what seems to be the accepted norm of having to ask for a manager just to get an answer

It's worth keeping in mind is that a lot of those at the coal face are not well paid, but are on the receiving end of people who are busy & seemingly better paid/more succesful etc.

Getting on well with the service advisor (some of them are a bit snooty!), IMO, is crucial to lubricate the system well. The idea is to get them to work for you better than they work for everyone else. :)

Lengster its a known issue to Audi so would be worth asking them the question, especially if your service history is up to date.

If your checking the coler yourself, beware the 5 clips underneath the front splitter.......they are a bugger to get out.
Upside - checked and my cooler is fine - no corrosion.
