I just love the noise and the mid range pull on the RS but the wife hates me doing it, :x
to the point now she says to our boys in the back "Hold on Daddy is going to go Lightspeed now and use up all the petrol" :P

YES...I do this also, come to the last camera, down to 3rd, sport mode on, window down (to have the full milltek non res sound)

KAPOW, foot to the floor!

amazing

although, in my RS 6, it was even MORE amazing, as the kick down was literally brutal and you where pinned down into your seat, just had to hold for for dear life

Although I would suggest that the RS4 & RS6 are both just as fast in my experience, i.e. I reach 3 figures at more of less the same point...at which point I release the gas pedal to more appropriate speed

I change down from 6th to 3rd - that's even more fun than "only" dropping 2 gears

And I always have Sport mode on, except when passing horses.

Derby Audi is my local dealer. I've only had one service (bought car from Leeds last July) but may be going for work soon as warranty is due to expire in May. The climate control doesn't seem to cool very well. Had it set to 17deg today and the vents were blowing warm air.

Glad to hear Derby have a good reputation :)
