Do you think I should only replace the friction plate or should the pressure plate be replaced also?

So, the new engine is sat waiting to be installed, and I have been quoted by my dealer a very reasonable £228 (converted from Arab Emirate Dirhams) for the friction plate, pressure please and release bearing. (note: this is a 'parts only' price as the labour is free due to the engine replacement)
Car goes in next saturday to have the engine replaced and clutch installed.

Good decision! I had a similar choice with a 911 and elected not to do it. 2 months later in she went for a new clutch etc!!! Original clutch at approx 27k miles was approx 15% worn.ArthurPE wrote:good for you...
ask them to measure the old clutch (% worn or % left)
be curious how it wore
That would seem less than other RS4's, but I reckon about right considering most of my journies are circa 100miles long most of which are on motorway using cruise control.
