Sorry if I sound like Arthur
I'm sorry if I sound like you!

ya think the dyno might be 'off'?!

he lost 10% more of his power AFTER a tune up!
and the dealer found no faults...

on a car that was already, supposedly ~20% (76 HP) below rating...
his car rated at 414 HP is now making ~300 crank...>100 HP low, >25%...
and you 'think' the dyno might be inaccurate?

DRIVE the car, don't worry/obsess over the car...
my gawd...

people that had low power on the dyno have timed their cars, and they are making ~rated HP, according to the speeds/times...

The Dyno is correct! not going to go over old ground here! it's getting boring!

Arthur your calculator put my cars speeds at 470bhp which it ain't. But maybe in American money it is?? Having spoken to a few people it would seem that most American derived dyno's run far higher numbers than over here? I have a friend who has a Nissan 200sx s13 it's running 550bhp all day long on Surrey RR and other Dyno dynamic roads but on an American unit (sorry name escapes me) it ran 637bhp nice jump for doing Sweet FA

I believe the time's Audi used are correct for the car but just don'e equate to our cars running 414bhp. it's more 380bhp. Hopefully Tim will come over in the week and we can do some runs.
Current car..... hmmmmm????

People used to believe the world was flat and that the sun orbited around the earth....

What makes you 100% sure the dyno is correct?

Not saying to .0000000345343 it's correct I'm just saying within a certain margins otherwise explain why other cars put out numbers within 10bhp on all sorts of Dyno's? Varsity's car for one. This is why I'm very keen to do some runs and even have a ride in Tim's car. I will be able to tell straight away if it feels like 400bhp.

There were a good number of cars on the 18th who ran and have run on other dyno's correct me if I'm wrong but I believe they all made numbers close to what they had seen before?

IMO the Dyno isn't far off. TBH I hope it is wrong and that Arthur figures are right that way my car is 470+ BHP :)

Dave, I believe you have VAG com have you ever done any times out of interest? See how your car is performing compared to say Gazzer & PG's cars which were around 5sec 0-6 etc.

Yes I have VAG-COM.

TBH I haven't bothered to do any figures because my RS4 still feels MUCH faster than either of the B6 S4s I owned before - they "gained speed" compared to the acceleration of the RS4.

Nobody seems to doubt that S4s produce the claimed 344bhp (or close to it) so I "know" that my RS4 is producing considerably more than 344bhp.
