I couldnt wait for Evo to review the RS6 when it came out. Evo arrived, I saw the weight then turned the pages.

That's the current "best guess".

rs6 test driven by long termer rs4 owner...

Post by weblissimo » Fri Apr 17, 2009 5:54 pm

Audi lent me an RS6 for a couple of days whislt my rs4 was in for service.

My conclusion was that if I lived in Germany (just travel there occaisinally at the moment) then I'd go for an rs6 as it's a fantastic autobahn car...a real mile munching pan-european GT.

But back in the UK's busy motorways (with speed limits) and more importantly the twisty A and B roads that I prefer then the rs6 was just too on/off point, squirt, brake for me...it's just too big and heavy to get an involving drive. The auto box didn't help either...manual for me is the way to go if you want to feel what a performance car is doing.

So...I wasn't at all disappointed to hand back the rs6 and have a blast on my favourite roads the long way home in my rs4 !
Thought for the moment...

...if some mindless ASBO keys your car as happened to my previous S4 then stay positive...they may have had a moments glory in front of their mates but they only did it because they're jealous of you being able to drive it every day! Who drives wins!
