one for sale for £29.9k now, Sepang
Re: Thinking of buying...what do you think?
if its not recorded cat d, then id buy that .. the wear on seats/wheel is a big bug bear for me on the buckets
they can be screwed after 10k if not looked after, so even low mileage cars can be buggered, and once they are done, there is nothing bar a retrim you can do to bring them back

I nearly said the seats may have been stolen at some point but didn't want to cast aspersions.
Wheel replaced too, makes sense now.

How is this car no longer classed as a Cat D if insurance paid out on it as a loss?Frostie wrote:i just hpi checked it, and it is Clear. Just comes up as having a plate change. 7 registered keepers, MOT expires 4th of june.

Re: Thinking of buying...what do you think?
I believe catD can be removed by getting the car examined by VOSA and if the car has been repaired properly they can remove the Cat D
But that does not explain the milage going backwards!

Cat D is Cat D, no matter how well / where it's repaired.black cat wrote:I believe catD can be removed by getting the car examined by VOSA and if the car has been repaired properly they can remove the Cat D

Perhaps the insurance company assessor, realised the cars worth if it was kept off the permanent register and categorised it as a CAT X, when punting it out to auction?
