What did you do with the rear inner arches?
rears were fine..not needed. are you running in the back too??
Yes mine is rubbing at the back both sides, standard 19's, recently removed the 10mm spacers but still rubs, so putting it up on ramp tomorrow see if I can find the reason

Just interested on how the arch rolling was done, as I would like to move to 20"s and go as wide as poss, could probably make that kit myself if I couldn't hire it

Strange your rubbing in the rears.. I had 12mm spacers with stock wheels/tires and did not rub.
what size tires?

You can purchase Fender Rollers if you think you trust yourself doing the job:

Dave, Love the set up

How did they finish the arches edges off? Did they fold the lip back inside?

Do love that RS6 grill, what have you done about the number plate? Rich
Thanks. The inner lip that goes in on the front arch was completely removed and then finished properly as if it was never there in the first place. Definitely not folded back up inside. Very crude way that in my opinion.

I cut two diamond shapes to mount behind the plate in the screws. They then slot through the grill and get turned 90 degrees to lock in place. There's foam padding on the back of the number plate so it doesn't rub.

Cheers for the reply

Pro job then,

Which model RS6 grill is that then? I have seen some cars running without the front number plate, the guy from QST runs his RS5 without a plate does look good, but my luck I would be stopped every day

Are you still rubbing after having the DRC presures checked? It should not rub with OEM wheels and standard tyre size even if Eagle F1s.

Isn't there a screw for the arch liner that causes rubbing, that can just be removed? Should be easy to spot, will probably have a very shiny and polished up head!

No Mike,

Car goes in on the 20th for the clutch change

Spoke to them today re checking the pressure, guy said he can do that without losing pressure, but he thinks more Spring related, so going to get the car raised on ramps tomorrow and have a good look, it only happens on the rear, both sides from wheel to arch are equal

Had a look under it today, springs are fine, well not broken, cannot see any rubbing in the wheel arches, no play in the shocks, so unless it's well down on DRC pressure, but the car does not bounce about, does sound like a rotational rub

Will have to wait till the 20th now

Did get all 4 wheels balanced and weights moved to the inside edge, got rid of the "white" weights off the fronts, that some reputable tyre fitters fitted, yes on black gloss wheels

Have you checked alignment? Might need a little more camber on the rear to bring the top in slightly?

Thing is Mike I had a very bright torch up in the arches and there no rubbing marks at all, the car was right up in the air on a hydraulic lift, 2 of us were under there for about 1/2 hour, just could not see anything that's rubbing or loose so totally baffled at the mo

You will find that rolling is a complete waste of time and cracked paint. I know from experience. The only way to go is get a decent body Shop to flatten and spray them up.

if your roller knows what he's doing, you will have zero problems.
