For sale; THE White Avant
Re: For sale; THE White Avant
Best you did what I did, went to the pub and then they drove off 10 mins later.
Re: For sale; THE White Avant
I remember when this was up for sale originally before Iain purchased it. Stunning car that has been improved even further.
Good luck with the sale. At least you have the consolation of you other RS when this one goes

GLWS Iain ,i,m sure it will go quick , no pun intended , i had the pleasure of a run in it and loved it , and struggled to keep up with you on the way to Creiff in my supercharged RS4 which shows the benefit of the SS+ suspension, . needs must tho , priorities are first sometimes

Phantom black saloon ,PES M112 Supercharged 520ps/595nm K&N filter, 100 cell milltek cats, res valved milltek system. 8 and 10mm H&R spacers.H&R roll bars, "smoke chrome " alloy refurb. Re: For sale; THE White Avant
Yes, absolutely, but truly awesome as the GT3RS undoubtedly is, its not the same all round car that my RS4 now is though.max_b wrote:I remember when this was up for sale originally before Iain purchased it. Stunning car that has been improved even further.

Correct, it was owned for 1.5 years by his brother Wax(wrong spelling probably) but it used to have reg no. '3 WAX'Surrey Sam wrote:Was with Shak specialist originally IIRC.

Re: For sale; THE White Avant
If you were struggling to keep up surely it was due more to the extra 95ps that Iain has?rwilsonrs4 wrote:GLWS Iain ,i,m sure it will go quick , no pun intended , i had the pleasure of a run in it and loved it , and struggled to keep up with you on the way to Creiff in my supercharged RS4 which shows the benefit of the SS+ suspension, . needs must tho , priorities are first sometimes

Found an old pic from the first owner with the original RS alloys still fitted.

nope not atall there is nothing in it on the roads , we've have a blast through the gears several times and not hardly any difference ,due to the differnce in charger designs. The TTS kit is definately a better designed and better to drive kit and would have bought one if funds allowed , The PES kit on mine was originally on Iain's car and was affordable to me at the time when he changed to the TTS , the thing is mine has more torque lower down so i can keep up till silly speeds but doesnt drive like a TTS charged one ,the power delivery from mine is real grunt all the way but torque falls off about 6500 k but sails on to 8250 easily , whereas the TTS drives similar to the NA car but just much faster . The travelling to creiff was on back roads at reasonable speeds , the difference was purely in the handling department

Oh my word. Can't believe it!! Who needs a holiday cottage - just buy a big tent
.

Re: For sale; THE White Avant
I did notice your peak torque figures were very close considering the difference in power, so that makes sense.rwilsonrs4 wrote:MikeFish wrote:If you were struggling to keep up surely it was due more to the extra 95ps that Iain has?rwilsonrs4 wrote:GLWS Iain ,i,m sure it will go quick , no pun intended , i had the pleasure of a run in it and loved it , and struggled to keep up with you on the way to Creiff in my supercharged RS4 which shows the benefit of the SS+ suspension, . needs must tho , priorities are first sometimes

torque =acceleration, power = top speed , mine has a lot more torque and some more power till about 5000 then the TTS takes over , the combination of both would be superb , which is pretty much what the APR TVS 1740 gives ,
