What a reaction!

Well, I went and test drove a C350 AMG merc, which was nice but the gearbox was very slow, it just didn't feel like it was responsive enough. Then I went for the BMW 330, and I have to say it was fantastic, really, really lovely car and pretty bloody quick as well.

So I sat there and talked money with the dealer, then said I would sleep on it and got back in the RS……. In the 5 min drive home I decided that I couldn't do it, took her in for an oil change that afternoon as a way of an apology for even thinking about it.

Someone sent me a message on here to tell me that they had swapped for the BMW a few years ago and was quite happy but still missed the RS, also the fact that no one ever comes up to talk to you about your 330 diesel.

I will just keep her until I can afford a new one and I am sorry to everyone for coming up with such a stupid idea and quite simply wasting everyones time.

Cheers

No time wasted, always good to keep an RS4 enthusiast amongst us.

when my rs4 went in to audi recently for a service we had a day long test drive in an sq5. really got to like it, loads of go in it still averaging mid 30,s and really practical. it got me thinking that it would be a great replacement as currently we have 2 cars and that would be a 1 car do,s all type of thing. however after returning to pick up the rs on the drive home within a few miles i thought nope i cant do it. glad your sticking with it for now lol

Great decision :bigblink:

It would take a lot for me to change from an RS, practical performance.

My next one will be a 6 once they come down in a few years time.
