Hi Paul - yes, I would've been there with bells on, but a small accident with a deer before the Boxhill meet and the fact I had to move MRC to this weekend meant I couldn't make it - Ide Hill wasn't it at the Huntsman. Pics look good.

Any plans for the next SE meet as yet? I'll be there...
Hi Neil,

It was at the Woodman, its the Box Hill boys turn to arrange a meet likely to be in April, the next Kent meet will probably be in May.

I am happy to arrange a more regular meet, but monthly seems to be too often for most people.

Glad to hear your car is all sorted.

Ah yes, sorry Woodman. OK, I'll keep my eyes peeled on the 'meets' section of the forum.

Cheers - at last I can get the car sorted and not have to spin it on the driveway to avoid looking at the massive dent in the rear door... :?

Sounds like it's running to 13,000 rpm. Pretty awesome.

Why do they rev it a bunch of times on the way down after hitting 8200?

Interesting how rich the stock tune is. Lots of puffs of black smoke. I imagine auto has it enriching afr when it's hot for some safety.

Would love to hear that in the flesh.
Yes, under load at 5k it has a kick - you can almost see it squat with the extra lay down.

Not bad figures at all. I think with the clean and the Stage 2 it's having 425-430 maybe? It's the other stuff like responsiveness and delimit in 1-3 that'll make it feel even sharper I hope...
Assuming that's a 3rd gear dyno that's primarily the throttle opening 100% from the restricted 52% up to 5500 that is causing the kick. Since its pretty cold where you're located it makes sense that it's restricted. It's like flooring the accelerator pedal after holding it half way down on a car that is not restricted...definitely going to kick .

Yes they are wider - by about 20mm. They fill the 'gap' a bit more for sure.

Yes, I'm keen to see what the remap and clean hold. The figures are one thing, but things like delimit in 1-3 gears will make it feel different and the clean will add. Will let you know...

Surely the power is held back above 5500 not below? 425-430 will take manifold work and sports cats etc aswell as the de coke n map.

The throttle body isn't fully opened below 5500rpm in gears 1 to 3, that's another major contributor to the fabled 5500rpm kick, it's not just the opening of the power flap in the airbox.

Cheers Rick - Pre cats have been 'binned' by JCWF so just standards left - so each bank is 200 now...

Well, Doug wants to do some more tweaking and runs - 430ps 460nm in an email to me just now, but then 'this may run better', he says...
