yeah these are V701 , rims i was looking at getting a set now that im keeping the car , but are only availabe in 8.5 an 9.5 and iirc , the offset is different so needs spacers , not a big problem but i would rather not use spacers if im fitting several k worth of wheels , advan do a similar rim too but again the offsets are wrong , more suited for BMW and JAP stuff
V713 are nice too but again same offset
enkei do a similar one but again wrong offset
TSW do a really nice one but are forged competition rims very light but very expensive , so i,m taking a step back at the moment to sus things out , it was doin my head in with all the widths ,offsets , forged ,rolled cast etc etc ,
Finding rims with near or the correct offset seems to be the biggest hindrance

Everything you say there i can appreciate. We need 9x19 to be right I think.
Would a 9.5 x 19 really make a difference to the way the car handles? I won't use spacers either.

9.5 would be ok with ET29 and 255 ,bit stretched looking on 9.5 inch depending on the tyre i would say.
V701 have ET 45 or 35 which is 22mm further in the arch and 10mm further from the arch edge(ET45) and so would look crap and will foul the suspension , i dunno if the ones on the avant are 9.5 but i doubt it i would say they were 8.5 with 12 mm spacers to filll the arch
As near everyone uses spacers to fill the arches better we really need an ET of around 26 with a 9.5 inch rim...I think which will put the inside rim 3mm closer to the suspension and the outside rim 9mm further out which will be good.... BUT thats with 255's , with 275"s which will be best on the 9.5 rim it may cause rubbing as guys have experienced with 275"s on std 9inch rims with added spacers ...OH MA HEID :bash:

Well thats me keeping the standard wheels then!!

If you find a solution with a really nice looking wheel similar to the V701 but with no issues please let me know as I'd be very interested.
Reason I like them is because of the 10 arm and also deep dish. Look great in graphite too. maybe a slightly less dished wheel wouldn't look as good?

seeing as i wasn't doing anything at work today i been looking again at the v701 fitment and have figured out whats needed ...i thnk , according to their site in USA you can have the 9.5 x19 with 33 mm offset so.... the wheel sits 10mm further in on the inside rim and 2mm further out on the outside , so with say 8mm spacers it will be about right with the 255 tyre if it doesnt look stretched on , some tyres sit more square on the rims than others ,
the normal thing with spacers seems to be 8mm (F) and 10mm (r) hubcentrics , but i dunno if you could go 10 mm all round as some people have had rubbing when wider than 8mm on fronts , again depending on how lowered the car is or which tyres are on , or you could go safe and go 8mm , its a tricky one
Anyone else any input re rubbing , spacers , tyre sizes etc ??

9" ET29 with 8mm spacer (ET21) would be the same outer fitment as 9.5" ET27 so you're looking at a 6mm spacer on ET33.

8mm might be too much, especially since people get rubbing on 9" ET19 (ie 10mm spacers) which is the same as 9.5" ET25 - or ET33 and an 8mm spacer.

correct :-), but i could not for the life of me find a rim which will fit that has ET 21 , you are also correct about spacers , any more than 8 mm and you risk rubbing
probably 9 inch rims are best , but you can get a bit more concave with wider rims :-) , its a bit of a minefield
some guys are running 10's in the states and dont mention rubbing if you get the offsets right
