I wouldn't be put off by a not having a full Audi service history, just a FSH. My simple car buying tip for a car like this, look at the tyres, if they have £350 treads on all four then you can guess the previous owner had the money to look after the car, if not then I would worry. Its a simple trick, but has never done me any harm*

Also, not seeing the car you are talking about, but I paid £21k for a FASH, 07 plate, 68k miles, pretty good nick Advant Nov last year. So I would suggest you haggle a bit on this one.

*- I would check a few other things as well though!

As the car gets older I agree FASH becomes "nice to have" rather than essential - what I would ensure is the car is taken somewhere that the prospective purchaser can google & has a good rep for Audi cars then all will be fine. TBH at every 18 months or so I am quite happy to keep mine with Audi but I wouldn't worry about going to an Indy either. I would also suggest that once you have chosen an Indy stick with them as consistency to my mind looks a lot better and makes more sense than loads of random stamps.

Come the end of your ownership how old will the car be, how much will it be worth and who then is likely to buy it?? I'd say in answer to the last question it'll be the dudes and yahoos who probably don't give two sh1ts about FASH. It's already being bought by these characters.

FASH is not essential

I stopped having my RS4 serviced at Audi dealers several years ago for 3 reasons:
1) the local Audi dealer has "technicians" that don't know their ar*e from their backside
2) I found a local inde who does a good honest job at a sensible rate
3) My RS4 is a "keeper" so any impact on resale value isn't an issue for me

FASH isn't worth anything 5+yrs old.

FSH is everything.
+1 (in a considerably more succinct way than what I said)
