However, as manufactures don’t issue WHP figures, they mean feck all to me; wheel horsepower is a bit too geeky/techy for me. My comment wasn’t intended to be rude by the way, maybe I should have used a smiley or two.
a dyno will not give absolute numbers, only comparative ones, so comparing derived dyno fw numbers to factory ones made on a engine stand is useless

so in order to make comparative evaluations (as is the case here, before and after repairs/cleaning) the wheel numbers should be used in order to remove as many variables as possible from the equation

to easy to manipulate numbers when using 'correction factors'
there are chassis dynos that measure losses

I don't think anyone is worked or of offended, just trying to clarify the technicalities involved
although a converted fw number may have a dumbed down feel good factor it has no engineering/technical value
it's for the consumer, not the technician, and most consumers are poorly informed

I have no idea what horsepower my car has got at either the flywheel or the wheels but I smile everytime I put my foot down, that's enough for me.

Saying that though it will be going to MRC for a clean and remap shortly as I would like to move it back towards its original feel. Been working hard on it to make it like new again inside and out and nearly there. Put in some personal touches just to make it feel like something special to me and enjoy seeing what new things people have done on here after all we all love our cars :D

Thanks buddy, looking forward to having it all done by August and then will be able to save some money again for something other than the car :D

Off for a detail next month too, looking forward to seeing how they get on and then as I said above off to MRC for the final piece to the puzzle.

it made 370 first run, not 309?

it now makes more torque than stock with no other mods
332 vs 317
how is that possible since the displacement and compression ratio did not change?

50 HP gain at 7500
had to be a vaccum leak based on the droop after 5000 rpm

it now makes more than rated torque from 4500 to 6200

What mods has it got? You will need sports cats and cold air induction etc to get to 440 region.Full hog 460 requires no cats stage 2 manifold etc etc :biggrin3:
