Ceramic Brake Pads RS4 B7 / TRW GDB 1660

I was also supplied GDB 1660 for fitment against OE part number 4E0698151G. TRW UK web site shows that they are not suitable for carbon-ceramic brake discs. So I called them and was told that they are NOT suitable for carbon-ceramic discs. It is a bit of a contradiction, because it the TRW web site brings up GDB 1660 when you enter this OE part number but then in the text it states they are not suitable. I think they are going to look into that. Meanwhile, I will not be taking the risk. I will sell these on E-bay and fit the OE parts. Unless anyone who has fitted the TRW parts wants to provide some assurance or endorsement?

The callipers probably fit other applications which run steel disc setups, hence the confusion. OEM pads only for me, should have a set arriving at the dealer soon.

I too have searched lots and found nothing on the net I'd be happy with .... tho gsf do supply pads for the ceramic set up @ £90 a set far cheaper than Audi and said to be Audi quality I even had to look at his computer screen but dare I use them ?

I've plenty of meat left I know I'll buy from Audi just to be safe
