Dave, have you ever tried any Continentals? In my experience they are far worse than the P Zeros (and I hate the P Zeros).

Not on the RS4, but I've found them to be rubbish in the past when I had them as OE fit on some company cars - so I'm not giving Continental any of my hard earned cash!

Just fitted a set of Pilot Super Sports to my refurbed wheels. All good so far, they feel better than the Conti's that were on there previously.

To be fair, you could wrap your wheels in a greased balloon and it would feel better than the Conti's.

From Camskill - best price I could find at the time, and they also price match.
