Re: AP Racing Front Discs
I need to replace front and rear discs... if its more or less the same price as OEM then I'm in, if its going to be £600+ for each pair then maybe not.

I couldn't get hold of the guy today, so will be trying again tomorrow.
I will ask about group discount and see what we can get.

Got B7 setup on my B5 and going to need new front and rear discs soon so interested to see what you come back with!
Re: AP Racing Front Discs
I noticed there is a different part number for the left and right disc, so is it safe to assume that they are correctly drilled (unlike OEM discs)?
Re: AP Racing Front Discs
They appear to weigh slightly more than OEM (12.3kg vs 12.06kg) whereas the Lobas are just 8.7kg - but this is contradicted by the download page which gives Assembly Mass as 9.45kg. Is it's as simple as one weight with the bells and one without, and if so, which measure should be used to compare with OEM?
I also see that minimum thickness is 32.5mm compared to 32mm OEM - again, not sure if this is relevant...

Re: AP Racing Front Discs
I contacted AP about a set + bells and they put me in touch with a supplier in Ireland.
The cost came in at €800/£682 collected and the lead time was quite long due to the Xmas period.
I ended up going with drilled Tarox ( and Yellow stuff pads) from Revolution cuase of there price with the group by, smashing service too from Glen and the boys!

I'm thinking I should have done the same... but December was a pretty tight month cash-wise. I got the pads though.edge wrote:I contacted AP about a set + bells and they put me in touch with a supplier in Ireland.

Re: AP Racing Front Discs
All,
Spoke to Tim Phillips at Circuit Supplies regarding the AP front disks.
The cost of these are: £312.66 + vat each side, This INCLUDES the AP mounting bells.
Total cost per front end £650.40 inc vat. He has offered 10% off as standard if we say we are on the this forum, bringing it down to £675.34 per pair. After 1st purchace, you only need to buy the rotors which list at £233.58 + vat - discount, so in future £504.53 a pair.......
He also said that if we got together and did a group buy, he would give more off.
He also said that the Ferrodo DS2500 blue pads are really good, they are for fast road/track days, work really well from cold and are very kind to discs. Im not up on this stuff so has anyone got any knowledge of these pads? They retail for £267 + vat (£320.40 inc) and he was willing to "knock some off that"
Finally, they would be more than willing to make rear discs, but would need a specimen. Does anyone have an old one knocking about that we could get to him. Circuit supplies ar in Leighton Buzzard.
Hope this helps.

Re: AP Racing Front Discs
From memory the only down side to the DS2500 pads is that they don't have wear sensors. I could be muddled up though.
