I know you were stupid enough to post reply to something you didn't even read and you openly admitted it. The answer to your post was already answered in the crap you didn't bother to read, hence, the worthy simian statement.

But you are wrong, you know you are, just go to any car park and read the rules. One space per car, NOT two spaces per car. If you were right, there'd be zero markings on the ground in all car parks.

I commend the love you have for your P&J and that you're willing to park across two spaces for it. You've clearly made a choice, so man up and accept the flak that goes with it. You also lose the right to complain if your car gets damaged because you parked like a front bottom. Agreed?

No, I'd complain whether I parked it like my Mrs or not,

Never said parking across two spaces was correct, I said I do it because I'm pee'd off with paying out for other people damaging my car while parked in one space. I'll continue to park like that regardless now.

Just for clarity, I'd really like to know:

There are some here (including me) who believe parking across two spaces increases your car's risk of damage.

Do you agree with this? Yes/No?

(open to everyone)

It's not been damaged at all since I started doing this. (3 years or more) In normal spaces car parking marks were quite regular.

Swing and a miss.

Great, so do us a favour, seeing you believe in this so much. Be a man, grow some balls and park across two spaces EVERY TIME, anything less is just half-hearted and softcore.

I agree with you that it increases the risk of damage to your car - because it makes your car obvious, and hence a more likely victim of a mindless attack.

I always park as inconspicuously as possible, and so far (touch wood) haven't had any issues. In fact, my wifes' car has been subject to more car park vandalism than mine (they're almost the same age) - no not because of her parking technique, as can be seen from the key scrapes, shopping trolley "dings", etc. on her car.

I think we're getting close to doing this subject to death - it's another one on which strongly help opposite views are held, so now those views have been shared why don't we just agree to disagree, as we have on many other subjects? :smile_smoking:

+1

The yes/no quick vote request was just me trying to reduce this down to the bare essentials. With the hope that I/we all learn a little about what our opinions are, agree to disagree respectfully. Stu.

All getting a bit tiresome now !
How can I setup a poll on somebody else's thread ?
Maybe with the columns/rows:

1. I try to park respectfully to others, wherever possible.
2. I'm a <beep>
