What makes you say that Eightfoot?

The person at the dealership who I am dealing with who unlike you is paid to know these things says otherwise (please note the letter at the end of the part number is crucial)

"If you would like to check the following part numbers do not need replacing 07K 905 715 F, 07K 905 715 D and 06F 905 115 F"

Why didn't you post this info earlier as I'd quoted my email from my service advisor 2 weeks ago in this thread?
TBH I'd rather not have them changed as I've got better things to do than waste time getting work done to a car that works fine but then I have better things to do than go there for them to tell me I have C coils as I already know that.

How old's your car Eightfoot?

Did you see with your own eyes that you had the C version?

Has anyone got a definitive list of part numbers affected?

I've just looked back to page 4 of this thread and pad125 who has access to the technical document has the same info as me which says C is not in the list that should not be changed so maybe (shock horror) Camberely were wrong?

This post on another forum confirms my info;

File too big, 3.4mb

Basically, it says everything thats been said above with more detail on all the other cars affected. Gives part numbers to check for

Engine code BNS

If the following part numbers are fitted then all OK

07K 905 715F
07K 905 715D
06F 905 115F

If not then they should be replaced with 07K 905 715F
Been struggling to send PM's but the above is out of the tech doc from Audi

Had all 8 of mine changed over the weekend...
I gotta say the car feels much smoother throughout the Rev range...

just had confirmation from my dealer that they will be changed (see below) so looks like you'll be going back to Camberley Eightfoot :boohoo:

"Hi ******
I have checked stock and we have 8 in stock.
They are due for change under the workshop action so we’ll see you at 10.30.
Thanks

Courtesy of pad125 :beerchug: here are the 2 relevant pages from the coil pack workshop action document providing the facts.
The first one is in there just to show the column heading for page 2 where the RS4 info is (circled).

Easy mistake :)
I am just glad Camberley & Halesowen were both correct as there are a lot of people putting a lot of trust in those 2 centres!

a lot of 07 reg cars seem to have escaped the recall because they appear to have been fitted with the D type coils from the factory.

I'd spent the day before giving mine the clean of its life (wheels off, aux rad grilles out) so when she asked if I wanted a wash, I wanted to say, you'll prob make it dirtier but just said "no thanks" :)

Guys - I just had all my coils replaced by Audi Newcastle on Monday, FOC, and the car responds much quicker.

The code I have on the account invoice is - Outstanding Service Measure 28E9

Hope this helps
