Hi there,
I’ve owned my B7 RS4 for the past 11 years and it’s been a real joy to drive. One issue that has me stumped/confused is this - is there an auxiliary battery connected to the car alarm? My impression was there is none but recent internet searches seem to imply there is.
The car alarm has been going off intermittently but there doesn’t seem to be any other indication the main battery is weak or dying. Engine starts fine without hesitation, no amber or red warnings on the dash.
Any help/insight would be much appreciated!
Car alarm - auxiliary battery?
Re: Car alarm - auxiliary battery?
Im not really know what im talking about now but, for SAAB and Volvo early 2000 models there is a logic unit and batteries inside the siren. When this small batteries is old and worn out the car alarm can start by itself.
Maybe Audi have a similar solution for this and the repair is the same (change this small batteries)?
