Replacement engine control unit (module)

One of the two engine control units (modules) in my 2008 RS4 died and the part has been discontinued (8E1 910 560 E), can anyone recommend where I can get a rebuilt ECU, or get mine repaired, or get a replacement unit, anything to get the monster back on the road. Thanks!

There used to be a place called BBA Reman in Rochester, Kent that used to do re-furbished control modules etc. I used them once for an ABS controll module on an Astra (not mine I hasten to add!!)

They were quick & quite reasonable from memory
