EPC LIGHT

Hi , I’m pretty new on here ( new full stop I suppose ) and have recently become a very happy rs4 b7 owner . However , the EPC light recently came on with no effects on the driving ....driven a few times and sometimes hasn’t come on. Tonight though went to give it a bit of welly and power dropped at the time the EPC illuminated ?? Drove fine after but to be honest I didn’t push it after that . No clunks, rough idle , infact I’d say you’d not notice any difference . It recently had a new clutch and carbon clean with flap delete .... the previous owner said he’d had the EPC issue but had it fixed ( bad clutch earth?) .... sorry for waffling but try I gotta to give as much info as possible .

You're going to need to get it scanned buddy.

Yeah thought as much but just wondered if what I’d described may have given anything away .

Your throttle body maybe toast. I had the same symptom, it got worse and would go into limp mode.
However get is scanned as jamiej says.
