How does this process work and does it wear off? Can you which area has been don’t or is it done all over all sections?
From what i saw he spend ages cleaning the leather with a small hand brush, he had 3 buckets of warm water of me and when i changed the water it was black with dirt. Then he dried the seat he was working on and used fine grit sand paper and some chemical, he smothe all the cracks over and then applied a rubber sealant over the area. He then used a chemical to put some of the dye up from the seat that took straight away to the cracks. I think this was like a undercoat for the new dye to bond to. Then he mixed his own die and tested in timy parts to get the match. Then he worked his magic and applied the die to the seat and a lacquer, i think it was breathable lacqure you would have to ask paul.
Thats what i noticed might not be the correct procedure its just what i noticed when i was watching. For £240 i think ill just ring him up each year and get it done.
