Headlight re-alignment after lowering?

Post by max_b » Thu Nov 09, 2017 11:53 pm

Is this something that is required?

I've got a slight flickering of the headlights within the first few minutes of use then they settle down to normal without issue.
Only started after suspension replacement/lowered ride height

My understanding is they are self levelling.

Perhaps just a bulb on its way out?

I've only ever had one xenon bulb fail on me - flickering first, then it started lighting up purple at startup.

Flicking is normally bulbs on its way out as Faisal has said. Normally a good idea to replace them both as typically if one is going the other won't be far behind and it's a bumper off job to change the bulb. Osram can be had for around £100 a pair

I had exactly the same issue and a new set of bulbs as mentioned cured the issue for me.

It can be done without the bumper being taken off and headlights in situ. Just requires a bit of patience.
